Converting
Business Requirements into a Dimensional Design
Focus
on various aspects from Information Packaging requirements gathering
that will lead into the next topic.
What
is Microsoft up to in Business Intelligence and Performance
Management?
We
will generate a Unified Dimensional Model (UDM) that Microsoft
leverages and demonstrate Microsoft SSAS and SQL concepts (OLAP,
Dashboards, Reporting) as server side BI (versus client side BI).
Then we will travel into the PerformancePoint platform and what is
it? Ending this topic with Excel 2007 and all the great BI features
and exposure of the server side topics that be leveraged with Excel.
How
do I serve my growing mobile device population with Business
Intelligence requirements?
We
will demonstrate an emerging technology that enables the push or pull
of BI reports to mobile devices, such as BlackBerry, Treo, and
Smartphones. Picking up where we leave off with Excel 2007 we will
demonstrate how a report can be made available in the mobile world.
